Usher Nonsense # 3 – Kiki and Herb

KIKI AND HERB with Justin Bond and Kenny Mellman - at the Cherry Lane

What I suggest is that you get there and take a seat by the door to use just about in
the middle of the show.  Your cue is when Kiki, a young man (Bond)  in drag
playing a wild old chanteuse, leaves her piano player (Mellman) and the stage to call
her daughter.

Go with her. It will be more interesting than what happens on stage for the next 20-
or so minutes.  If you come back, you can see the finale which is fairly
entertaining.  If not, you will have seen the best part of the show and will still have
time to stop somewhere for a drink.

Kiki has some great lines, fabulous observations, and original music, but this show
could use a cut, shape and the tightest little old perm to jack it up into the
stratosphere.  It could work at that altitude.
